English Language Challenges

 I start by mentioning that for me to learn english has never been something unpleasant or something that I dislike, since I was very young, I have always loved the language, learning more, speaking it and listening to music, which is also where I think I have learnt the most. Among the things that have always cost me a little more in english, is the use of different verb tenses when speaking fluently with someone else and the use of a wider and higher vocabulary that I would like to incorporate as well. I also believe that the most effective way to learn English, but at the same time the most complex, is through conversation, which I think is the most effective way to practice fluency and speed, as well as pronunciation if you are speaking with a native speaker, in order to have more similarities with the language you are speaking. Changes to my study programme

 First of all, I'm not sure what this topic is about, but regarding the curriculum of my career, if that's what it's about, it's worth mentioning that we are the second generation of actors that will leave this university after a change in the curriculum of the career. I believe that it takes years for a curriculum to become established and to function optimally. In the case of this course, I think that the best possible management and organisation has not been done, I think there are still many shortcomings and the old curriculum has not been changed in practice, but the names of the subjects have been changed and many things have been taken out that in my opinion were important for an actor or actress to know. I also believe that it is not only about changing the curriculum, but also about renewing teaching practices and those who teach the subjects. POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

 As I had already mentioned in a previous blog, at this point in my life, I think that in the future I would like to dedicate myself to something other than acting as such, so after finishing my degree, I would like to specialise in something related, such as art direction and photography. The ideal for me would be to leave the country to study, since here both careers that I mention do not exist to be studied in a university or institute, and what interests me is to learn both as a career. At the moment, the options I have in mind are Argentina, the United States or a country in Europe.  And thinking about some postgraduate studies, lately I have been very interested in psychology applied to theatre, or rather in theatre as a means to treat mental health, so I would really like a master's degree or diploma related to that subject. 

My future job

 This is a big issue for me, because during the pandemic I realised that my career as a theatre actress was not what satisfied me completely, but rather the audiovisual and more specifically the production and behind the scenes work involved in audiovisuals. So from what I have researched and seen, in the not too distant future, I would very much like to be an art director and also a cinematographer. I see in both, a place that I love, full of creativity and colours, in which to create a new world where everything combines and ends up making sense for the whole piece. Besides that, also during the pandemic I have discovered the area of mental health, how important it is and how much I would like to work in theatre as a tool to deal with psychological and psychiatric disorders. I would very much like to do workshops as therapy for children, young people and/or adults.

 Well, these two images that i put here are from the same trip I would like to talk about. Both were taken in July 2016 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on a trip I took to my best friend's house who went to live in the US for her dad's job that year. This trip brings back very good memories as it was the first time I left the country, took a plane and alone, so besides being exciting, it was a great challenge for me because I was only 16 years old.  I went for a month, and as my friend Catalina was on summer holidays there, they had planned many outings, we did many different and entertaining things, among them I remember the moment in one of the photos, when we went to the zoo and inside there was a butterfly garden where before entering they gave you an envelope with a closed butterfly inside so that when you entered you could open it and the butterfly flew free. It was a very nice experience, but honestly I don't think I would do it again, I think it is taking away and rest...

THE BEST CONCERT I'VE HAD

 The best concert I've ever been to was Lady Gaga. It was on 21 November 2012 on the BORN THIS WAY BALL tour, at the National Stadium.  I remember I went with my mother in the gallery enclosure and we waited a few hours before entering the stadium, it was a very hot day but I didn't mind because I had waited a long time for that day.  About the concert, I remember I was in shock when Lady Gaga came on stage, her show and her presence were unique, besides her great voice, she sang just like in the songs! On the stage there was a giant castle that opened and closed as dancers came out from inside, and there were coloured lights that coloured the whole stage. She changed costumes many times, played the piano and even came out once transformed into a motorbike! The concert lasted almost 3 hours and I had a great time, it was an experience that I remember to this day and would definitely repeat.

A country i would like to visit

 Hello everyone!! I know that i´m posting this a little late and i hope it doesn´t matter and I still get in on time. Well, a country that I would really like to visit is India, because for some years I have been linked to Hinduism and Buddhism and in this country most of the population practices one of these two religions. I think one of the things that strikes me the most is their culture, so different from the western one, a way of seeing life in a holistic and spiritual way, much more connected with the inner self and the immaterial. Another of the things I would like to know about this country, are its mosques and temples, which I only know from photos but they really catch my attention, their amount of details, shapes, figures and colors really catches my attention. although I would love to visit this country, I think there are certain things that I do not share or that do not call my attention, such as the language, the food and the enormous amount of pollution it has. ...
